A Barrington woman came in first place in her division this weekend in the Chicago Fleet Feet Sports SuperSprint Triathlon.

Stephanie Block won the females ages 19 and under division with a time of 45:27. She placed fifth overall.

The Chicago Fleet Feet Sports SuperSprint Triathlon on Aug. 25 attracted athletes from all over the country to Montrose Avenue Beach to compete in the race. The race is geared toward beginning triathletes ages 15 and older and consists of the following events: 

• a 375 meter (.25 mile) swim in Lake Michigan parallel to the beach
• a 10 kilometer (6.2 mile) bike
• a 2.5 kilometer (1.55 mile) run
