It's time for our weekly Chowdown Showdown!
This week, we are on the hunt for the best place to get sandwiches in the Barrington and Lake Zurich area.
You know the drill: All you need to do is sign into our site and then comment below with your vote. Feel free to elaborate on why this restaurant’s sandwiches are fabulous.
You have until 5 p.m. Tuesday to let us know your favorite go-to place for a good sandwich.
On Wednesday morning, we will post the top three finalists — determined by your votes in this article, on Facebook and on Twitter — in a poll. And it will be time to vote again — this time for the weekly Chowdown Showdown champion.
Voting will continue through 5 p.m. Friday. We will post the Showdown winner first thing Saturday morning.

DiPeiros Deli & Lakeland Catering in Lake Zurich, by far the freshest and best priced. They slice the meat right on to your sandwich, it never sits around.
Bolony's is good, but DiPeiros is the best.

One place that not people know about is Franks Karma Cafe. The owners do not advertise and proudly boast that people know of their place purely by word of mouth. The sandwiches are the best in the Chicagoland area. I love sandwiches and have had them from all over Illinois. Franks Karma Cafe have won me over. The freshness, care and time put into each sandwich is second to none.
If you get a chance, it is on Main St in Wauconda. Enjoy. You will never forget it!!!

Gavi Cafe in the 600 Hard Road office building is top shelf. Italian and american made on fresh Panini Bread by the Italian born chef.
Cooper's on Hough St. is also turning out great stuff.
