Christmas Tree Poll: Faux or Real?

Where will you get your Christmas tree this year?

Christmas trees have been part of the winter holiday since the Middle Ages. The first decorated Christmas tree was in Riga, Latvia in 1510, according to Christmas Tree Facts from the University of Illinois Extension.

Some people like the convenience and perfect form of an artificial tree. They can put it up early and don’t need to worry about disposal.

For others, only a real tree will do. They like the fragrance and the fun of choosing a new tree every year. They may also see real trees as a more environmentally-friendly option.

Some people want a live tree that they can plant after the Christmas season is over.

love a real tree and the smell of pine in the home...but after having kids...an artificial one just seemed more convenient and less needles!

I remember going to cut down a Christmas tree with a friend when I was 16, I ended up bringing a small tree home as well. That little tree lived forever and I felt bad about disposing it. After that I was hooked, it's been real trees for me every year since. We usually go to a tree farm for the full experience. Pioneer Tree farm has always been one of my favorites.
