Ready to ring in 2011 and still deciding where to celebrate New Year's Eve? Whether you're looking for a quiet dinner or a rockin' evening, several Barrington area restaurants and bars are offering live entertainment, party packages and dining options.

Six different bands will perform on Penny Road Pub's main stage at 28W705 Penny Rd. for a New Year's Eve Rocking/Metal Party starting at 6 p.m. until after the ball drops. The cover charge is $10. The night includes a champagne toast at midnight and party favors. Food will be served until 3 a.m.

If you're looking for an Irish New Year's Eve, head over to McGonigal's Pub at 105 S. Cook St. The band Chunky Monkey will rock the evening with 60's and 70's tunes from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Cost is $60 at the door. You must be 21 or over. The package includes an all night appetizers and snack buffet, four hour premium open bar, champagne toast and party favors. The main level of the pub will also be open until 3 a.m. if you're not interested in the party package. To make sure everyone gets home safely, the pub is offering complimentary limo service from 10:30 p.m. until 3 a.m. within the immediate Barrington region. For more live entertainment, the Wool Street Grill & Sports Bar located at 128 Wool St. is hosting a New Year's Eve late night revelry band called Triadd starting at 9 p.m. There is no cover but you must be 21 or over to get in. A full dinner menu will be available with a champagne toast at midnight. Wool Street Grill will be open until 2 a.m.

How about a high class evening which starts off with lobster and champagne? Park Avenue Wine Bar & Merchant located at 205 Park Ave. is taking reservations for a five course dinner paired with the finest Laurent-Perrier champagnes beginning at 8 p.m. The cost is $130 per person. Only a few spots are left for this special dinner. The main dining area with the regular menu will also be available along with a DJ. Party goers can take advantage of complimentary limo rides within the immediate Barrington area. Park Avenue Wine Bar will be open until 3am. For reservations call 847-382-3900.

111 Grille/Chessie's located in the Ice House Mall at 200 Applebee St. will be serving its regular dinner menu with a few New Year's Eve specials including steak and shrimp.  A DJ will get you dancing in the bar area which will be open until 2 a.m. Reservations for dinner are strongly recommended.
