A fire is now contained at a home on 216 Knoxboro Lane in Barrington tonight, fire officials said.  

Barrington Fire Department pulled a box alarm for the incident just before 6 p.m. on Dec. 14. Departments from surrounding areas like West Dundee and Long Grove were all called to the scene to assist with the incident. Ambulances were also called, although the number and extent of injuries is unknown at this time. 

The amount of damage to the home is unclear at this time. As of 6:30 p.m., dozens of fire trucks were still at the scene of the blaze.
