Grove Avenue Carnival Set-Up Underway
Grove Avenue School will hold its annual Grove Avenue carnival this weekend.
Grove's Annual Carnival will warm up a chilly weekend.
The rides are starting, the food is being prepped and the entertainers are warming up for Grove Avenue's 25th Annual Carnival. Grove Avenue School students got a sneak peak for what the weekend holds with an opportunity to try the rides and sample the cotton candy today. The Super Shot and Tilt-a-Whirl are some of the favorites, with the entire parking lots and fields filled with rides, games and fun for all ages.
The Carnival runs Friday-Sunday, Sept. 16-18, with longer hours on Friday, because of the day off for students in the Barrington 220 District.
More than 400 parents have volunteered to make this annual event the biggest and best ever in it's long history. Face painting, Games and food service are just some of the ways that parents are lending a hand, while they leave the running of the rides to the professionals at North American Midway.
Join in on the fun at Barrington Road and Hwy 59 this Friday, Sept. 16 from noon-10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17 from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 18 from noon to 5 p.m.
