New Candidate Joins Ela Tax Reform Party Slate

On Monday, January 28, Tony Lombardo of Lake Zurich was officially added to the Ela Tax Reform Party slate as one of four candidates for Ela Township Trustee. The appointment was made after trustee candidate Nick Buris withdrew for personal reasons.
Lombardo, who has lived in Lake Zurich for 23 years, is an attorney in private practice in Mt. Prospect with a focus on criminal law, real estate and divorce. He has also been a licensed sports official for many years, officiating at the high school level and at college Division 1 football games, including college bowl games.
A member of St. Francis de Sales Church, he is a married father of three and grandfather of two. He was active in youth sports for many years while his children were growing up.
“I am pleased to have the opportunity to join the Ela Tax Reform Party slate,” Lombardo said. “I believe this slate has some good ideas for spending our Ela tax dollars more wisely and to make the decision-making more open and transparent. I’m looking forward to talking to voters about our ideas.”
The Ela Tax Reform Party slate consists of eight candidates running for Ela Township offices: Barbara Evans for Supervisor, Randy Abbott for Highway Commissioner, Paul Jankowski for Clerk, Wayne Wnek for Assessor and Mike Jennings, Nancy Shepherdson, Vaseem Iftekhar and Tony Lombardo for Trustee. Tony Lombardo and Paul Jankowski are simply two of the finest, most qualified people I have had the privilege to know in the village of Lake Zurich/ Ela Township in our 25 year residence in the village; it is time, truly time for some new blood in this entrenched board. Drive/walk through the village/township and ask yourself if you as residents/taxpayers are satisfied with the status quo

I wonder why they had to change candidates after they already got their signatures....I would think for sure that should invalidate the signatures and thus running for office. Oh wait, that's what they tried to do to Ela First...haha. We will just wait to watch them fail because that will be much more entertaining then them not running in the first place!
