Quentin Road Christian Preschool (QRCP) is the best preschool in Lake Zurich area. They have amazingly caring teachers who love to be there and work with kids. The staff is very friendly as well. They offer half/full day options. They have an excellent Kindergarten program! Kids get to participate in extra-curricular activities such as swimming, horseback riding etc.

Barrington Park District - great programs. They are offering many different options and the teachers a great. The new facility is just a bonus.

I've been very happy with sending my little boy to St. Anne's Preschool. We recently moved to the Barrington area and my little guy has attended pre-school in London and a wonderful Montessori school elsewhere (sadly the Montessori schools I visited in my area just were not the same). I was not able to find within reasonable distance to our home a better school where he would be exposed to such a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. His teachers have all been so kind and he quickly was able to integrate into the school environment.

I have never met such dedicated teachers as I have at St Anne preschool. I have sent 2 children through the program and hopefully will send 2 more. My kids themselves loved going to school there every day. It's amazing what they learned in the program making them confident and successful for kindergarten. I had closer options, but traveled from two towns away to send them there due to their amazing reputation.

Not only is the educational program wonderful and they have top notch facilities (beautiful classrooms and the Nature Explore Classroom) but they also have the best teachers. The teachers are terrific and really care for the children both in the classroom and at home. My oldest has been there for 3 years and my youngest will be there in the fall.

Water's Edge Waldorf pre-school in Wauconda is absolutely the best! My 4-year old son loves it so much he doesn't want to leave when I pick him up. We started from 2 days a week and he's now there 4 days because he really enjoys it. The teachers, staff, parents, and children are amazing.

St Anne's is by far the most nurturing preschool in the area. The children get a great foundation and preparation for their educational journey. St Anne's teachers are dedicated to their craft and are all certified teachers, which I believe is essential in giving the children a great beginning.

Water's Edge Waldorf would win our vote. We have put two children through their preschool-kindergarten program. One of our sons is still there, as a grade schooler now. Children love the environment because it speaks to their hearts, it is what childhood should be. In a world where everything and everyone is rushing around trying to get nowhere in particular, this school and their philosophy is the best advocate for preserving childhood. This school is the one gift that parents can give their children which they will cherish forever.

I sent my 3rd child to St. Annes when it opened and the program is by far and above the most comprehensive with teachers that really understand where children need to develop. While I had good experiences and the other 2 popular pre-schools for my older children, they do not compare with the depth of St. Anne's program. St. Annes had a significant impact on my child's long term education with the guidance they gave us.

My youngest started in the parent/infant program and has successfully transitioned through the toddler and preschool programs. Creative Care Children's Center/Creative Learning Montessori School in Barrington has been an amazing experience for our pre-schooler. Not only can she already - at age 4 - do basic math and reading/spelling, and identify all of the United States, she has learned compassion and has a kind word for everyone she encounters. Marla, the director, is deeply invested in each of the children, and we appreciate the atmosphere and guidance that she and the rest of the teachers provide.

I am not even Catholic and i have sent all four of my kids to St Anne Preschool because of how womderful the staff and curriculum are. They welcome children of all faiths and even though they hope you will stay on, you dont have to attend the grade school to go to the preschool. Great news! St.Anne Preschool has a place for every child-they are starting a full day program next year and it is so much cheaper than the daycare I use now-I feel like I got a raise!!!

Creative Care Children's Center & Creative Learning Montessori School is the best in Barrington. They have very good programs and the teachers are very passionate in their work. Both my kids are in the school. My little one is turning 4 by July and is in Creative care. The name reflects what they are. We are impressed by their quality of education and care.

There are many factors to consider when choosing a preschool. For our family, it was finding the balance between what will help our son be ready for kindergarten as well as what will work with our work schedule. St. Anne has a terrific preparatory curriculum and run by credentialed and tenured teachers with age appropriate activities and the pack & play special programs reinforced our decision to send our kids through the St. Anne Preschool. Additionally, the new school principal is clearly a take charge individual moving our preschool into the future.

Montessori Children's House of North Barrington is a wonderful preschool! It has excellent teachers and offers a great indoor and outdoor learning environment. It has been an excellent choice for us!

They are Nationally accredited; they have a safe and secure environment (which when researching preschools, the lack of security at other schools was a huge concern for me); they have a wonderful staff and I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else! I love the Christian environment as well. They do such a wonderful job there!

If you haven't looked into St. Anne preschool - that is the least you should do! I have had 2 children go through their program and by the end of pre-K, you will be thanking the teachers. Never have I seen a more dedicated staff and children who show respect to others.

St. Michael's Little Angels Preschool is a wonderful place for children. The director and teachers nurture and truly care for each child and their family. The teaching staff is dedicated to providing activities and experiences that engage children fully in the learning process. This becomes evident as children not only skip into their classroom excited about their day but leave the school each day happy and confident with themselves.

St. Anne's preschool has been a fantastic environment for all 3 of my children. The inclusion of jolly phonics in the 4 year old program and great teachers made it a clear decision for us. As a dual career couple, we loved the flexible options offered for all day enrichment programs as well!

I love Noah's Ark preschool in Barrington. They have a program for 2's, so if your child is ready, like mine was, you can start them in a warm and loving environment. The children do a lot of art work, music, and enjoy playing outside on the playground and outdoor classroom. The teachers really love the children.

Creative Care Children's Center & Creative Learning Montessori School, Barrington. The teachers are more than just a teacher they are like family and our daughter is smarter and smarter every day. My 3 yr old has learned everything from the continents to spelling words I cannot. The teachers love the children, the classrooms are fully equipped and the play area is excellent.

WATERSEDGE WALDORF SCHOOL in Wauconda!!!!! My daughter is in her 4th year there as a first grader but attended 3 years prior in preschool and kindergarten. She has always and still does love school. Your child is well cared for and loved by all staff. This school WILL encourage your child to LOVE learning! You will not regret sending your child to this preschool! Even if you do not send them to grade school here your child will get an amazing start with the preschool program!

Curious how many of the comments are from parents who have had children experience the preschool VS faculty/staff and other friends and family to just win?

My children have experienced both St Michael and St Anne pre-school... I would have loved to stay at St. Michael for elementary school, the programs, staff, and caring about each student and their progress makes them the best choice. The fields trips were very well thought out and participation of the pastors and church staff is very sincere.

St. Anne school has a great KG program that succefully combines moral and religious values with academic excellence.
