Convicted Killer Mistakenly Released, Sheriff Seeks Public's Help
The Cook County Sheriff's office is looking for Steven L. Robbins, 44.

The Cook County Sheriff’s office is seeking the public’s help apprehending an offender that has been mistakenly released.
Steven L. Robbins, 44 years of age, is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighs 190 pounds. He has a tattoo on the right side of his neck that reads “Nicole.”
Robbins was born in Gary, Ind. and is serving a sentence in the Indiana Department of Corrections for murder.
The Sheriff has ordered an investigation into the facts and circumstances regarding his court appearance and release from custody.
Law enforcement is searching for Robbins. If anyone has any information on his whereabouts please call 708-865-4915. If you see Robbins, please do not approach him. Dial 911 and tell the operator his location.

Don't they have compitent people in the Sheriff's Office?

We used to enjoy looking through the "most wanted" posters at our local post offices while waiting in long lines just to purchase stamps. When those posters were removed a few years back, I asked the teller, why were they taken down? She shook her head and with a half grin, said "negative signage." Is that not the epitome of political correctness? These are "negative people" was my response. They could be standing right next to you in a store, and you probably wouldn't know it without a recent photo of them in your mind. My vote is to bring back the "Most Wanted Posters" but I'm just one voice. The times, they are a changing......

Sherriff Dart has clambered abord the bandwagon of politicians trying to make hay over the bodies of shooting victims asking for new laws. Perhaps he should expend more energy in doing his job, (like keeping convicted felons in custody).
