Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Davenport Family Funeral Home in Barrington.
Tina Snow-Willis, 66, died Dec. 23, 2012, with her husband and sons at her side at her home in Trout Valley, Ill.
Tina was born on Aug. 9, 1946, in Seoul, Korea to Kijoo and TaeSoon Han. She moved to the United States at the age of 21, where she first resided in St. Paul, Minn. Shortly after, she moved to Trout Valley near Cary, Ill.
Tina created her business in 1985, starting out as The Framer’s Shop in Hoffman Estates where she began her career in the art business and developed her talent for designing frames to suit a broad range of styles. She expanded her business to offer fine artwork, building relationships with numerous local and world-renowned artists and gallery owners.
The Tina Han Gallery was established with her move to the Ice House Mall in Barrington where she continued to foster her lasting relationships with many clients and artists in the area. Tina’s passion for art, creativity and customer service allowed her business to flourish over 25 years, providing her with personal growth along with the resources to put her sons through the University of Illinois.
Family meant everything to Tina. She was a deeply loved, wonderful, close and committed wife to her husband Ray. She put the needs of her family in front of her own because she wanted to provide the greatest opportunities to her children. Tina always instilled the need for maintaining close ties with family, no matter if it was a family trip to see relatives in Wisconsin, an annual birthday gathering, or hanging out together on the weekends.
In her free time, Tina enjoyed experimenting with new plants in her garden, cooking new recipes, sewing with her friends at TV Stitch and Bitch, quilting, travelling and perusing art galleries around the world, working out at Advocate Good Shepherd health club, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Tina is survived by her husband, Ray Willis; children, Jeff (Tara), Steve (Sharon), and Mark Snow; grandchildren, Anna and Claire Snow; brother, TaeKo (Mi) Han; sister, ChungHwa (Woong) Oh; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Tina in death are her parents, Kijoo and TaeSoon Han.
