Bring a picnic and spend the afternoon at an old-fashioned country fair. The annual Bonner Farm Country Fair features a petting zoo, wagon and pony rides, crafts, face painting, and live entertainment. Play old-fashioned games and guess the weight of the giant pumpkin. Paint a pumpkin or gourd in the craft area and help construct a scarecrow at the scarecrow making station. Explore the site’s hands-on exhibits, including an activity maze, weather station and oversized farm animal cut-outs. Admission is $3 per person. Children three and under are free
Sunday, Oct. 7, 1-4 p.m., Ryerson Woods, Riverwoods
This event will include activities to celebrate the legacy of Ethel Untermyer, the 33-year-old homemaker who set out to establish the Lake County Forest Preserve District in 1957.
Commemorate Ethel's memory as a civic leader and poet at Ethel’s "Poet-Tree" to write and share nature poems and enjoy poetry walks. The Fall Festival will also feature games, crafts, and wagon rides at the height of fall color.

Started during the depression as a trade between families, this Rummage Sale is a staple in the community. Come find a great bargain and mingle with church members and friends. Items that are not sold will be donated to various community charities. The sale runs on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

A Blessing Service for our furry, finned or flying friends will be held at the church Sunday afternoon. The event will take place outdoors if weather permits, or inside of Fellowship Hall if necessary. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
