Sun City Huntley 2011 Spring Consumer Showcase

Where/When: Prairie Lodge at Huntley, 12880 Del Webb Boulevard, Huntley. Thursday March 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why go: Looking for a good handyman, landscaper, real estate agent or insurance provider? Explore local options for all those services and more at the 2011 Spring Consumer Showcase. 

Pricing: Free admission

 

Get The Led Out

Where/When: James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake. Friday, March 25 at 8 p.m.

Why go: Rock out your Friday with a performance by Get The Led Out, a Led Zepplin cover band. There’s a  “Whole Lotta Love” to be had at this concert.   

Pricing: Tickets $30 to $40. Purchase tickets online at the James Lumer Center website.  

 

Citizens for Conservation Workday

Where/When: Citizens for Conservation Headquarters, 459 W. Hwy 22, Barrington. Weekly on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Why go: Devote a morning to outdoor volunteer work and help Citizens for Conservation “Save Living Space for Living Things.” It’s a great way to socialize with other nature enthusiasts.

Pricing: Free

 

Crystal Lake Home & Business Expo

Where/When: Crystal Lake South High School, 1200 S. McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake. Saturday March 26 from 10 a.m to 4 p.m and Sunday March 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why go: Visit the 140 exhibitor booths displaying their products and services, enjoy lunch at Café EXPO and enter to win some fabulous raffle prizes.

Pricing: Free admission and parking.    

 

McHenry Community Garage Sale

Where/When: McHenry Middle School, 2120 W. Lincoln Road, Mchenry. Saturday, March 26 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why go: As the saying goes, one man’s trash... Find your treasure, or just enjoy browsing the unique wares at this community garage sale sponsored by the McHenry Parks and Recreation Department.

Pricing: Free admission
