Whether you love outdoor hikes or bar crawls, we have something to entertain you this weekend.

 

Lake County Discovery Museum Community Day

Where/When: Lake County Discovery Museum, 27277 North Forest Preserve Road, Wauconda. Friday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Why go: The museum has several unique exhibitions, including “Civil War Sesquicentennial,” “Paleoart” and “Civil War High Tech,” and Friday you can enjoy free admission all day.

Pricing: Free April 1  

 

Arts & Crafts Show

Where/When: Lake County Fairgrounds, 1060 East Peterson Road, Grayslake. Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday April 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go: Peruse one-of-a-kind wares from hundreds of arts and crafts vendors. 

Pricing: Admission $3

 

Karaoke!

Where/When: The Cuckoo’s Nest, 100 Crystal St., Cary. Weekly on Fridays and Sundays from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Why go: Practice your best Whitney Houston or Steve Perry impression at this bi-weekly karaoke. 

Pricing: Free admission

 

Rotary Club of Lake Zurich’s Annual Pub Crawl

Where/When: Saturday, April 2. Starts at Duke’s Ale House at 2 p.m., 110 West Main St., Crystal Lake. Ends at The Brink Street Bar & Grill at 6 p.m. 

Why go: Crawl for a cause at the Rotary Club of Lake Zurich’s Annual Pub Crawl. Proceeds will benefit the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry in Lake Zurich.  

Pricing: $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Call 847-975-4525 for tickets or more information. 

 

Forest Fitness

Where/When: Rollins Savanna, Washington St. at Atkinson Road, just west of Route 45 and east of 83. Weekly on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. with rotating locations.

Why go: Get your exercise in the great outdoors with a fast-paced hike through Rollins Savanna.  

Pricing: $1 for Lake County residents, $2 for non-residents. For registration or more information call 847-367-6640.
