Lake County Discovery Museum Community Day
Where/When: Lake County Discovery Museum, 27277 North Forest Preserve Road, Wauconda. Friday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Why go: The museum has several unique exhibitions, including “Civil War Sesquicentennial,” “Paleoart” and “Civil War High Tech,” and Friday you can enjoy free admission all day.

Where/When: Lake County Fairgrounds, 1060 East Peterson Road, Grayslake. Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday April 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why go: Peruse one-of-a-kind wares from hundreds of arts and crafts vendors.
Pricing: Admission $3
Where/When: The Cuckoo’s Nest, 100 Crystal St., Cary. Weekly on Fridays and Sundays from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Why go: Practice your best Whitney Houston or Steve Perry impression at this bi-weekly karaoke.

Rotary Club of Lake Zurich’s Annual Pub Crawl
Where/When: Saturday, April 2. Starts at Duke’s Ale House at 2 p.m., 110 West Main St., Crystal Lake. Ends at The Brink Street Bar & Grill at 6 p.m.
Why go: Crawl for a cause at the Rotary Club of Lake Zurich’s Annual Pub Crawl. Proceeds will benefit the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry in Lake Zurich.

Where/When: Rollins Savanna, Washington St. at Atkinson Road, just west of Route 45 and east of 83. Weekly on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. with rotating locations.
