HFCA Grads Rate 100% Acceptance at Prestigious St. Ignatius High School

Holy Family Catholic Academy (HFCA) was recently notified that all of their students who applied to Saint Ignatius College Prep (SICP) in Chicago have been accepted to the prestigious school.

According to Mrs. Elizabeth Carney, Director of Admissions at Saint Ignatius, more than 900 students applied for 360 spots in the Saint  Ignatius Class of 2018.  Principal of Holy Family, Mrs. Kate O’Brien states, “We are so proud that 100% of our students who applied to Saint Ignatius were accepted.”

HFCA has been nationally recognized for its innovative curriculum and instruction and draws students from over 25 different zip codes throughout the northwest suburbs. As a result, HFCA graduates have gone on to attend more than 12 different Catholic, public and private schools in four different counties and the City of Chicago. Despite the distance between the two schools, HFCA has developed a special relationship with SICP, one of the most highly regarded high schools in the Chicago area.

HFCA’s unique middle school curriculum strives to prepare students for the challenges of high school and beyond, and has been a point of entry for new students.  Mr. Corbett Kull, parent of one of the HFCA students accepted to St. Ignatius states, “St. Ignatius was not even on our radar before we transferred our son to HFCA.  We became aware of them through other HFCA parents who sent their children to SICP as well as St. Ignatius’ presence at Holy Family’s Catholic High School Fair.”

States Principal O’Brien, “we have established relationships with the high schools our alums attend and consistently receive positive feedback on the quality of our middle school program.”

Mrs. Carney agrees, “Our Holy Family alums join Saint Ignatius College Prep well prepared for a rigorous academic experience and participate enthusiastically and fully in the life of our school.”

Holy Family Catholic Academy congratulates their entire graduating class and looks forward to exceptional results in high school and beyond.
