BHS to Unveil Rare JFK Photos Thursday

The community is invited to view unseen photos of former President John F. Kennedy's visit to Barrington High School from 1-:1:30 p.m. Thursday, at the high school.

Several notable political figures have made appearances at Barrington High School over the years, including future U.S. Presidents John F. Kennedy and Barack Obama. Only one photograph from Kennedy’s campaign appearance in October of 1960 has ever been seen, until now.

Barrington High School alumnus Joyce Taillon recently uncovered photographs from Kennedy’s BHS appearance while sifting through a family album. This class of 1962 graduate has generously donated the pictures to the school district.

Join BHS from 1 to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 as the images are unveiled to the public as part of the Future President’s Exhibit at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main Street, Barrington. The event will take place the day before the 50th anniversary of Kennedy’s assassination.
