CareerPlace Fundraiser Benefits Programs for Job Seekers

CareerPlace is a non-for-profit organization that has programs_ from job coaching to job workshops_ helping more than 700 job seekers.

The Barrington-based organization is holding a fundraiser to further its mission to help job seekers in more than 80 different Chicago area communities.

The fundraiser will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. November 9 and features jazz, food, wine pairing and bocce.  It is also a good networking event for the general public and the ticket is tax deductible. To register and purchase tickets, visit MyCareerPlace or call 847-304-4157.

CareerPlace is staffed primarily by volunteers, according to its website. Founded in 1994, the organization also works with service organizations to help its clients address other needs related to job transition, the site states.
