Chili and Music Fest to Raise Money for District 220 Foundation

"One Heck of a Good Time" Chili and Music Fest to take place on Saturday, March 12.

Get your boots on for "One Heck of a Good Time," a fundraiser for the District 220 Education Foundation featuring chili and toe-tappin' live music by Way Past Curfew.  The event, slated for Saturday, March 12, will take place at The Onion Pub and Brewery located in Lake Barrington.

According to Margarita Geleske, a trustee for the District 220 Education Foundation, the goal of the event is to "raise funds to bring more to the classrooms of Barrington 220."

Approximately 150 people are expected to attend the event and they are hoping to raise $15,000 to $25,000.  The chili and music fest will also feature a silent and live auction.

"As a not-for-profit volunteer organization, the Foundation finds the funds for
initiatives that enhance learning but are not otherwise supported by tax revenues," stated Geleske.  The Education Foundation previously funded an Early Learning Center Playground – a playground sized for pre-school children and appropriate for children with special needs.

Tickets may be purchased for $75 and there is a cash bar.  For more information, visit www.220foundation.org.
