Raptor in Flight

Join us at Citizens for Conservation-owned Flint Creek Savanna where we will hike around the tranquil snow-covered prairie while stopping to view and learn about live raptors.

The second part of this extraordinary class involves witnessing a raptor in free flight under the professional guidance of Dawn Keller. If you missed the two rehabilitated eaglets released at Starved Rock, you won’t want to miss this!

Join us for hot chocolate and have the opportunity to speak with Dawn about her incredible work after the flight program.

This class is held outside, includes walking in the snow, and is open to children ages 5 and older. Caregivers are required to attend. Please dress appropriately for the weather with hats, gloves, and boots.

Class size is limited, so please register early! COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORMS ARE DUE BY January 20. Please contact us immediately if you are unable to attend so that another child can participate in this class.

All class fees collected will be donated to Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation to support their work.

More details and a registration form can be found at the website link provided. Please call CFC at 847-382-SAVE (7283) or email youth-ed@citizensforconservation.org with any questions.
