Smart Farm's Soup & Salad Family Day

On Saturday, October 8, Smart Farm's Soup & Salad Family will take place.  Join us to make a kit to grow fresh salad greens and assemble a soup-in-a-jar mix.  The salad greens will be grown in a colander to make for easy watering and providing something to rinse your fresh greens in after harvesting.  The soup mix provides you with most of the ingredients needed to make a tasty and nourishing soup.  This activity is for children, ages 5-10, with an accompanying adult.  Instructions to care for the salad greens and a recipe to make the soup are included.  Family Day will take place from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at The Lodge at Citizens Park in Barrington.  For more information and to register, go to www.smartfarms.org.
