Get Out Weekend Planner: Art Classes, Ladies Luncheon

Lots for the ladies this weekend, including an art class, a Thursday night out downtown and a ladies' luncheon.

Where/When: Handmade on Main, 320 S Main St, Algonquin. Starts on Thursday, March 10, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. Part of a three-week series meeting March 10, 17 and 24. 

Why go: Ladies, unleash your inner artist through clay, mosaics and paint in this three-week series.

Why go: Husband and wife team and South Barrington residents Jim and Diane Bodkin will honored at an artists’ reception at the Barrington Area Library. Enjoy their nature photographs and chatting with the artists.

Where/When: Downtown Crystal Lake (start at the ,) 26 N Williams St, Crystal Lake. Thursday, March 10 from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Why go: Enjoy specials at downtown Crystal Lake businesses including discounts on merchandise, appetizers, drinks, gifts with purchase, raffles and more at this popular "business-crawl" event. 

Pricing: Free – check in at the Raue Center for the Arts first, the first 500 participants will receive a goody bag and a map of participating businesses and their specials.  



Where/When: , 12015 Mill St, Huntley. Friday, March 11 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.

Why go: This low-cost luncheon includes food, a gift bag, door prizes and a seminar on health topics including chiropractic care and nutrition.

Pricing: Free for current patients of Fernandes Chiropractic who bring a friend, a $5 donation fee for all others, to benefit the Breast Cancer Run. Registration required, to register call 847.669.6071.



Where/When: , 319 N Randall Rd, Lake in the Hills. Saturday, March 12 from 7 pm to 9 pm.

Why go: On Angels’ Wings hosts a benefit wine tasting with a DJ, door prizes and a raffle to help raise money to build a new animal shelter.
