Getting Fit with Your Girlfriends

Groups of women are forming exercise groups to spend time together and get fit at the same time.

We all know that it is easy to find excuses for not working out; it is just too easy to skip when so much other stuff is going on in our day.  

This is why many women are finding that they have a much better chance of making a workout when they know their friends will be waiting for them.  Whether it is just meeting one friend at the gym, or a group of women for a run or walk,  the accountability of being expected to attend is a great motivator to get to that workout.  

The popularity of group classes such as yoga, boot camps, spin classes and running groups shows that it is just more fun to exercise with others!

The Barrington Park District has a variety of group class offerings, as do many other area gyms and exercise studios.  It would be fun to grab your girlfriends and try a new class this Spring!
