Why go: Skip the corned beef and cabbage and instead bring home a dinner the whole family will love while supporting a local charity. Mackenzie Tannhauser is a Junior at Crystal Lake South who has faced heart problem since she was eight years old and is now on the heart transplant list. A portion of the sales will go towards Mackenzie’s medical bills.

Pricing: Dine-in or carryout, to participate  and present to your server or carryout host.

Where/When: , 1095 Pingree Rd, Crystal Lake. Thursday, March 17 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Why go: Kids will love playing on the oversized obstacle courses, slides and more, and dinner of pizza and drinks and a St. Patrick’s Day treat are included.     

Pricing: $12 per child, $6 per adult. Tickets available in advance at the Pump It Up website.



Where/When: , 9625 Haligus Rd, Lake in the Hills. Saturday, March 19 from 11 am to 7 pm.

Why go: Whether you want to dance or just watch the fun, come to support District 158 schools. Dancers will enjoy eight hours of music and dancing, and their registration fee includes beverages, lunch, dinner and raffle prizes.

Pricing: $10 registration fee with $20 pledge minimum amount per dancer, $1 admission for spectators. Registration forms available at all District 158 school’s offices and on the Education Foundation website at www.district158.org/education-foundation.



Where/When: , 505 N Northwest Hwy, Barrington. Saturday, March 19 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. 

Why go: This classic tale is made even more adorable through storytelling with puppets.

Pricing: Free. 



Where/When: Ryerson Conservation Area, 21950 N Riverwods Rd, Deerfield. Saturday, March 19, and Sunday, March 20, at 12:30 pm. Tours begin every half hour with the last tour leaving at 2 pm.

Why go: Enjoy a hike in the beautiful Ryerson Conservation Area, learn how to tap trees for syrup and taste the delicious end result. 

Pricing: $5 for Lake County residents, $7 for non-residents, children under the age of 3 free.

 



Where/When: , 660 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. Sunday, March 20 from 12:30 pm to 2:15 pm.

Why go: A girly tea with delicious goodies is the perfect Sunday bonding time for little girls and their moms (or grandmothers, aunts, etc.) A presentation on antique dolls is included as well, and girls can bring their own favorite doll.
