Citizens for Conservation (CFC) and Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation present a Leave No Child Inside class, "Raptors—Birds of Prey," from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 at the CFC headquarters at 459 W. Highway 22, in Barrington.

Class size is limited, and open to children 5 and older. Caregivers are required to attend.

Completed registration forms are due by Jan. 4. Class fee is $10 per person. Registration forms can be found at http://www.citizensforconservation.org/youth-education/. Call CFC at 847-382-SAVE (7283) or email youth-ed@citizensforconservation.org with any questions.

The class will be cancelled only in case of snow storm or dangerous wind chill.

This event, to be held outside, will include walking/hiking around the snow-covered prairie, while stopping to view and learn about live raptors. The second part of this extraordinary class involves witnessing a raptor in free flight under the professional guidance of Dawn Keller.

Hot chocolate and time for Q&A with Keller will follow the flight program.

Attendees are asked to bring shoe boxes, old towels (no Loose threads), paper towels, bleach wipes, and old blankets to donate to Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation, a non-profit organization. Class fees also go to the organization.
