Kids Become "Citizen Scientists" During Botany on the Prairie

Join Citizens for Conservation for a fun-filled afternoon at CFC’s Flint Creek Savanna. Children will become Citizen Scientists while discovering the science of botany. Using field guides created by Citizens for Conservation and the student, each child will choose a plant and collect scientific data using a hand lens.

The event will take place from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at CFC headquarters, 459 W. Hwy 22, Barrington, IL 60010. Look for the white farmhouse with a silo across from Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital.

The class is open to children ages 5 and older.  Caregivers are required to attend.  CFC members are free. Non-members pay $5 for the first child and $1 for each additional child.  Please make checks payable to Citizens for Conservation.
