Kids Feeding Kids Club Donates $12,500 to Food Bank

The club raised the money from a recent fundraiser called "A Magical Matinee."

The Kids Feeding Kids Club presented a donation check to the Northern Illinois Food Bank for $12,500 recently. This provides over 75,000 meals. The money was raised from the recent fundraiser, "A Magical Matinee". Countryside Elementary School held an assembly to recognized all of the efforts of students to help their community.

Kids Feeding Kids Club was founded in 2008 by Carson Pazdan at the age of five. Inspired by his love to cook and experiment in the kitchen, Carson wanted to create his own cookbook featuring all of his recipes as well as those from other kids. He dreamed of a cookbook designed FOR kids BY kids. This idea evolved into a vision of creating a club for kids where they can directly impact the lives of other children and help stop hunger. This has turned into a real viable charity organization. Since 2008, they have held several activities for kids to learn about hunger in our area and give back.  They have participated in food drives, packing backpacks for needy kids, and participated in a gardening project to help local food banks.  Hundreds of local children have benefitted from their efforts.
