Local Thrift Stores Save Families Cash

Local consignment, used clothing and thrift stores are a great way to outfit your family and home at a much lower cost.

It's no secret that I am a big fan of consignment store shopping for my home.  I have high-end furniture taste on a low budget, so I have found buying quality furniture at consignment stores saves me a considerable amount of money than if I had bought the furniture at a traditional retail store.  I love buying things at antique stores as well. Something about furniture with a history appeals to me.

A Patch reader reminded me shopping at local consignment and used clothing stores is also a great way for families to save money, especially at this back to school clothes shopping season.

Here are are some local stores that sell gently used furniture and clothing that might be helpful for your next shopping trip.
