Metra Trains Stopped Due to Severe Weather

UPDATE 7:24 p.m., June 12: 

All Union Pacific inbound and outbound Metra trains have been given permission to resume operation.   

UPDATE 7:10 p.m., June 12: Union Pacific hopes to resume service "momentarily" according to metrarail.com.

Here is the latest information on train delays: 

#654, scheduled to depart Harvard at 4:35 p.m. and arrive Chicago at 6:23 p.m., is presently stopped near Cary and is approximately 95 minutes late.

Train #627, scheduled to depart Chicago at 4:05 p.m. and arrive Harvard at 6:05 p.m., is presently stopped near Barrington and is approximately 88 minutes late.

Train #631, scheduled to depart Chicago at 4:45 p.m. and arrive McHenry at 6:10 p.m., is presently stopped near Des Plaines and is approximately 80 minutes lat.

Train #635, scheduled to depart Chicago at 4:57 p.m. and arrive Crystal Lake at 6:10 p.m., is presently stopped near Des Plaines and is approximately 78 minutes late.

Train #629, scheduled to depart Chicago at 4:39 p.m. and arrive Crystal Lake at 5:56 p.m., is presently stopped near Arlington Park and is approximately 75 minutes late.

Train #639, scheduled to depart Chicago at 5:12 p.m. and arrive Barrington at 6:17 p.m., is presently stopped near Jefferson Park and is approximately 75 minutes late.

Train #641, scheduled to depart Chicago at 5:16 p.m. and arrive Harvard at 6:46 p.m., is presently stopped near Jefferson Park and is approximately 75 minutes late.

Train #633, scheduled to depart Chicago at 4:48 p.m. and arrive Barrington at 5:54 p.m., is presently stopped near Des Plaines and is approximately 74 minutes late.

Train #647, scheduled to depart Chicago at 5:33 p.m. and arrive Harvard at 7:19 p.m., is presently stopped near Des Plaines and is approximately 73 minutes late.

Train #637, scheduled to depart Chicago at 5:06 p.m. and arrive Crystal lake at 6:30 p.m., is presently stopped near Dee Road and is approximately 70 minutes late.  

Train #643, scheduled to depart Chicago at 5:20 p.m. and arrive McHenry at 6:50 p.m., is presently stopped near Irving Park and is approximately 70 minutes late.

6:13 p.m. June 12: Metra trains along the Union Pacific Northwest Line are at a standstill tonight due to the severe storm blowing through the area.
