New President of Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club

New president named for Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club

Brett Schulz is the new president of the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club.

Schulz recently took over the duties from outgoing President Suzanne Gibson. The club has been enriching the quality of life in Barrington for 25 years. Members meet at 7 a.m. on Thursday mornings at the Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane, Performing Arts Center, Barrington.

The club’s next meeting is scheduled Thursday, July 11 with featured speaker Bob Roitblat, a businessman, motivational speaker and author. He has written several books including “Sailorspeak: The Complete Insider's Guide to Yacht Racing Terms, Jargon & Slang.”

"Yacht racing, is the perfect metaphor for business success. Businesses, like race boats, require leadership, teamwork and rapid decision-making to be successful,” he is quoted on Amazon.com’s profile of the author. “Miles from land, you have only those resources you brought with you and your knowledge of the environment and your competition to eke out as much advantage as you can in a dynamic environment."

Rotary Club welcomes new members to attend meetings. The club works to bring peace to the world by addressing sources of conflict - disease, hunger, poverty, illiteracy, environment concerns, both locally and internationally.
