Rock the Reel at McGonigal’s to Benefit Bridget, Rare Disease Campaign

Event includes two bands, film screening.

 

will host  “Rock The Reel,” a unique medical Benefit and film screening designed to raise awareness for rare disease, at 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, at McGonigals Pub in Barrington.

The event features live music by Tanglewood Tales and Between the Lines.

Tracy VanHoutan, founder of Noah’s Hope, will be the master of ceremonies at the event which will feature a free screening of The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation Film, "Here.Us.Now. - A Family's Fight to Bring Medical Innovation Home.”

Motor Werks of Barrington and MJ Miller & Company are leading sponsors of this event along with personal donors from the Barrington community who support Hope 4 Bridget on a regular basis.

Proceeds will benefit The Hope4Bridget Foundation, and the Two Hearts RockTM/Global Genes “Be An Instrument of Hope” Campaign.

Batten disease is a rare, degenerative, neurological disorder which is always fatal. Eight-year-old Bridget Kennicott from Barrington, is bravely fighting the disorder and is the inspiration behind Two Hearts Rock. Read her story at www.hope4bridget.com
