The Garlands Receives Perfect 5-Star Rating, Again

Prairieview at The Garlands achieved a perfect five-star rating for two consecutive years from the federal government’s Center for Medicare Services (CMS).

“This is a remarkable accomplishment and a true testimony to the quality and value our members-only skilled nursing program offers our residents in the event they should ever need these services,” said Garlands Executive Director David Loop.

Health-inspection results, adequacy of nursing staffing and quality of medical care determine each star rating.

Prairieview at The Garlands, at 1000 Garlands Lane,  offers around-the-clock assisted living and skilled nursing services within the context of the Garlands of Barrington.

Due to state licensing agreements, access to the highly rated skilled nursing program at Prairieview is limited to and is an added benefit for residents who currently live within The Garlands retirement community as independent living or assisted living members. 

CMS created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily. This information gives you a "snap shot" of the care individual nursing homes give.
