Holiday Wine Walk

Throughout Barrington, 2-6 p.m. Saturday Nov. 17

Kick off the holidays in downtown Barrington with the free Holiday Wine Walk. Sponsored by the village merchants, enjoy free wine and food while shopping in Barrington stores.

An amazing selection of wine has been chosen and provided by Heinen’s wine department and Ciao Baby! in downtown Barrington. McGonigal’s, the Annex, and Chessie’s are also sponsors. Merchants participating in the walk include: Mia Sorella, Urban Flair, Acacia Organics, Re-De-Find, Angelina, Notice, Grassroots, Bravura Home and Gift Shop, Norton’s USA, Tootsies, Tommy Terri, Savvy Spirit, BCAC, and Tivoli Gardens. All wines will be available for sale at Heinen’s and range in price from $7.99- $10.99.

For a more extensive list of wines and locations, wine maps will be available the day of the walk at all participating locations.

The Velveteen Rabbit

Ice House Mall, Saturday Nov. 17. 

The Kirk Players and the Ice House Mall present The Velveteen Rabbit theater and lunch, Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale at kirkplayers.org or Chessie’s Restaurant. Adults are $17 and children are $15. Reserve your spot today as space is limited. 

Holiday Pet Photo Shoot

Saturday, Nov. 17, On Angels Wings, in Lake Zurich

Get a holiday pet photo and support On Angel’s Wings pet rescue. Photos will be taken from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $10 and appointments are necessary,  847-550-0502.

Equestrian Lifestyle Expo & Holiday Market

Saturday, Nov. 17, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 18, 10a.m. to 5 p.m., Lake County Fairgrounds, Grayslake

This event includes training for the equestrian, speakers on nutritition  and horse health as well as 100 booths.
