Start the Homecoming celebration in the morning at the Andy Anderson Pancake Breakfast held at Barrington High School from 8 a.m. to noon. The $5 breakfast benefits the Quarterback Club of Barrington. The parade kicks off at the Metra station at 10:15 a.m., and the Varsity Football team will take on the Schaumburg Saxons at 2 p.m. See our event planner for more details.

National Public Lands Day, Saturday, Sept. 29, 9-11 a.m., Citizens for Conservation Headquarters
Join the Citizens for Conservation during the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve public lands. All are welcome to join the restoration volunteers at Citizens for Conservation’s headquarters, 459 West Highway 22, Lake Barrington.
