Barrington High School Homecoming, Saturday, Sept. 29, all day
Start the Homecoming celebration in the morning at the Andy Anderson Pancake Breakfast held at Barrington High School from 8 a.m. to noon. The $5 breakfast benefits the Quarterback Club of Barrington. The parade kicks off at the Metra station at 10:15 a.m., and the Varsity Football team will take on the Schaumburg Saxons at 2 p.m. See our event planner for more details.

Barrington Fire Department Open House, Saturday, Sept. 29 9 a.m. to noon, Public Safety Building

National Public Lands Day, Saturday, Sept. 29, 9-11 a.m., Citizens for Conservation Headquarters
Join the Citizens for Conservation during the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve public lands. All are welcome to join the restoration volunteers at Citizens for Conservation’s headquarters, 459 West Highway 22, Lake Barrington. Volunteers will collect seed of native plants that will be used in restoration projects in the Barrington area. RSVP to Citizens for Conservation at (847) 282-7283.
Ignite the Night, Saturday, Sept. 29 5-10 p.m., Spring Creek Forest Preserve, Barrington Hills
