Why go: Safety and fun is the name of the game! Families can enjoy seeing the Flight for Life helicopter, ambulance tours, a child ID clinic, car seat safety checks, a teddy bear clinic, a pet CPR class and a babysitter safety class! Where/When: , Skate Park, 1170 Silver Lake Road, Cary. Friday, May 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Why go: Adults and kids alike are invited to the Cary Skate Park for an afternoon of skating. Experienced skaters will be on hand to instruct beginners, and the more advanced skaters are invited to compete in a skills contest.     

Pricing: Free, ages 7 and up are welcome to skate.

Where/When: , 431 Walkup Road, Crystal Lake. Saturday, May 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.       

Why go: Looking for a new ride? Browse the used bikes for sale before summer starts, and get a great deal on bikes and equipment.

Where/When: , 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Sunday, May 15 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.  

Why go: Treat the family to a Sunday Brunch for a good cause! Traditional breakfast items will be served, with a lite eaters menu for the little ones.
