Hati: Where Did the Money Go

Award-winning journalist Michele Mitchell will return to Barrington to present a screening of the film Haiti: Where Did the Money Go?” at 7 pm at the Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Highway, Barrington, IL.

The film, made by the independent media company Film@Eleven which Michele co-founded, examines Haiti’s living conditions and how relief funds have been spent two years after the country was rocked by a powerful 7.0 earthquake. Mitchell will show the film and then lead a question-and-answer session after the film.

On a 2008 visit to Barrington, Michele presented her documentary Daughter’s for Sale, the story of child slavery in Nepal.
