     Barrington High School’s Fine Arts Department will present “Hello Dolly” on Thursday, March 1st, Friday, March 2nd and Saturday, March 3rd at 7:30 PM.  Matinees will also be performed on Saturday, March 3rd and Sunday, March 4th at 2:30 PM in the Richard C. Johnson Auditorium at Barrington High School.

     “Hello Dolly” is a romantic comedy musical originally starring Carol Channing.  The Broadway production follows the story of Dolly Levi, a strong-willed matchmaker who travels to Yonkers, New York, in an attempt to find a match for the miserly “well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire”, Horace Vandergelder.  In doing so, she convinces his niece, her intended, and Horace’s two clerks to travel to New York City. A film based on the Broadway production starred Barbra Streisand and Walter Matthau.

     The box office will be open beginning Monday, February 27 thru Friday, March 2 from 10 AM – 2 PM and 1 hour before each performance.  Tickets may also be purchased on-line at barringtonfinearts.com.  Tickets prices are $12 for adults, $8 for students/children and a $5 senior citizen donation is encouraged.  All seats are reserved.
