On Thursday, May 10 from 9:30am to 7:00pm Customers can Shop, Dine and Donate at the "Purple Can Heal" benefit for Relay for Life at the Ice House Mall. Customers will have the opportunity to shop, dine and donate all day at the Ice House Mall and help the Barrington Relay for Life program and the Cuba Township Food Pantry. Customers making purchases on Thursday, May 10, will have 10-20% of their purchases donated back to the Barrington Relay for Life program. Customers who dine at Chessie's Restaurant will have 15% of their purchases donated to the Barrington Relay for Life program. Customers are encouraged to donate to the "Purple CAN Heal” canned food drive that will provide assistance for the Relay for Life Luminary bags on June 8 and provide donations to help HEAL those in need at the Cuba Township Food Pantry. Local Girl Scout and Brownie Troupes are encouraged to bring canned goods to donate for the event. Purple donations boxes will be located outside of most stores. Customers will enjoy many festivities while shopping and sample mini cup cakes designed by Sweet Pea Cakes of Barrington. Shoppers can enter to win the "Purple CAN Heal" Gift Basket filled with wonderful items for the stores of the Ice House Mall. Shoppers can also view the "Purple Heals" paper dresses created by Barrington High School students on display in the mall store windows.The Purple Can Heal Shop, Dine and Donate is a great opportunity to help many in need of assistance.
