"The Spirit of Youth" Photography Exhibit

Just who lives at The Garlands? College sweethearts, world travelers and avid learners…entrepreneurs, engineers and teachers…people who served their country, cared  for their children and volunteered their talents…and people who are young at heart, dare to dream and always live life to the fullest! Meet The Garlands residents, who have always pursued an active and engaging lifestyle and have no intention of stopping now, in a collection of vintage and current photography compiled by Chicago photographer Brian Warling. “The Spirit of Youth” photography exhibit is on display May 2-27 at The Gallery at The Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington, IL.                 A portrait photographer known for his ability to connect with subjects, Brian’s work can be seen in commercial applications and fine art galleries. He has photographed the Mayor of Chicago, the Governor of Illinois and the family of the President of the United States. He uses humor, respect for the experiences of young and old alike, and a desire to slow down and listen to find out who his subjects are and what makes them the focus of a great portrait.       

            "Working with the Garlands has been a blessing for me,” Brian said. “I have met and photographed so many truly amazing people with experiences beyond their years.  While photographing these people, it became apparent that they have lived multiple lives—so many experiences and adventures and stories packed into one lifetime.”
