BHS Broncos Ready to Take the Field

Barrington High School’s Broncos football teams are ready to hit the gridiron for the 2013-2014 season.

The first day of practice is Wednesday, Aug. 14, which kicks off a busy week for the Broncos. 

BHS varsity football players will be the “Pub Police” at the Barrington Quarterback Club’s annual Bronco Bash Fundraiser.

The Bronco Pub Trivia Bowl will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 at The Onion Pub, 22221 N. Pepper Road, Lake Barrington. The cost is $65 per person for a buffet dinner and games. Reservations will be taken through this week, more information is available on the Broncos Football site.

Then the Broncos will have their official photograph taken on Saturday, Aug. 17.

It’s back to school on Tuesday, Aug. 20 and BHS’s Broncos have a scrimmage game and pep rally at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23.

The first varsity game of the season is at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30 against Jacobs High School at home.

The Broncos have a new website dedicated to providing the latest updates on the football program including a schedule of games.
