District 220 Discusses Ending Semester Before Winter Break

An advisory council is recommending the district instead forego other holidays during the year, according to the Daily Herald.

The Input 220 Advisory Council has recommended Barrington Unit District 220 have fewer days off during the school year as a way to end its first semester before winter break, according to the Daily Herald.

The possible change would not affect the schools' start or end dates during the year and the hope is to next present the recommendation at a tentative community meeting on Sept. 24 and then bring it before the school board on Oct. 15, according to the article.
