Barrington Dancers Perform at Breast Cancer Fundraiser

After celebrating their accomplishments in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk, participants were treated to a dance number by dancers from Barrington and other nearby suburbs.

Dancers from Barrington in the Midwest Dance Collective performed in Des Plaines this month as part of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk, the Barrington Courrier-Review reports.
The collective's dancers, who hail from Barrington, Lake Zurich and other nearby suburbs, performed with the semi-professional dance company under the direction of Barring native Ellen Werkman, Friday, August 9, for the Susan G. Komen event at Maryville Academy in Des Plaines. The artistic performance was entitled “Watercolors," and was inspired by people who touch our lives and leave us with "water colored memories forever," said Werksman, whose mother is a breast cancer survivor.
