Six full-time French pastry chefs make over 150 cake and cupcake flavors, inspired by Volante and her daughters.

“My daughters and I love fashion, so we created tribute cupcakes in honor of our favorite designers. I also took the foods we love and created the best cake imaginable,” Volante said.

Guys can fine some yummy choices too with the Man Cakes. The most popular Man Cakes are the PB XXL and the Heavenly Swine. The PB XXL is made with a Hersey Reese's Peanut Butter Cups baked in the middle then topped with peanut butter buttercream and another whole Reese’s cup, she said.

The Heavenly Swine is a buttermilk cake stuffed with Applewood Smoked Bacon and topped with our creamy maple buttercream and a piece of caramelized bacon.

“Bon Appetit,” Volante said.

Couture Cupcake is planning their first event, “An Evening in Paris.”  It will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 9. Tickets will go on sale July 1 for $29.99. The evening benefits Sandy Hook Elementary families who lost children in the December 2012 tragedy.

”I had the idea on Mother’s Day, I just couldn’t imagine what the moms were feeling. So, I thought it would be fun for the community and a great vehicle for raising funds,” Volante said.

Area families who purchase a ticket will be transported to downtown Paris complete with a canopy of white lights. The evening features French food _ catered by Wild Asparagus _ desserts and drinks. There will also be Mimes and a Mime contest for attendees.
