Developer’s New Project Creating Buzz in Barrington

William Ryan Homes announces an interest list if forming for its project on Kainer Court.

William Ryan Homes just started marketing its luxurious single-family homes on Kainer Court and already has an interest list forming.

Barrington’s Board of Trustees recently approved William Ryan Home’s (WRH) plans for the six homes on Kainer Court, north of Lake/Cook Road, a subdivision where construction had been at a standstill.

“Barrington is one of the most desirable suburbs to live in due to its vibrant downtown, excellent schools and close proximity to transportation,” said Todd Warshauer, director of sales and marketing for the Chicago Division. “It's a natural fit for WRH's desire to provide homebuyers with a beautiful new home in a renowned area.”

WRH, the top privately owned building of single-family homes in the Chicago area, is offering homes in the $600,000 range.

“We will offer six of William Ryan Homes’ largest two-story floor plans, complete with luxury features worthy of a Barrington address,” Warshauer said. “The homes are located within walking distance of the commuter train station as well as downtown shops and services, and prices starting in the upper-$600,000s are attractive for this very desirable location.”

As a whole, the housing market is rebounding nicely, Warshauer said. “In highly desirable areas like Barrington, we continue to see a stronger demand for housing due to limited supply,” he said.

What many homebuyers are looking for is well-designed homes with energy savings features, efficient use of space and smart home technology.

Homebuyers of today are not looking for the excess of decades past, they seem more inclined to seek a home that fits their needs rather than providing excess, Warshauer said. Homebuyers are opting to create a home that utilizing the available space in a comfortable but luxurious manner, he said.

WRH’s six floor plans to be offered will range from 2,300 to 4,000 square feet, and will have brick and stone siding, professional landscaped yards and two- and three-car garages.

Buyers will be able to personalize their homes with a wide array of options, featuring the newest materials, at WRH’s new 3,000-square-foot Selection Center that offers extensive displays and professional assistance.

A model home is scheduled to open in February and will feature the Jordon II design.

“The Jordon II is a home that combines elegance with a practical, flexible floor plan that can be adapted to the needs of even the busiest families,” Warshauer said.

The Jordon II includes from 3,574 to 4,386 square feet of space, and includes four bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, a second-floor laundry, first-floor mudroom, and three-car garage.

Buyers have the option for amenities including a pocket office, gourmet kitchen, two-story fireplace, signature morning room, walk-in closet in the mudroom and a fifth bedroom.

Every home is Green-built to exceed Energy Star guidelines. A state of the art waterproofing process guarantees dry basements for 10 years.

Other company innovations include guarantee-buy and long-term leasing programs as an option for buyers with homes to sell, a “My Home 24-7” personal customer website where buyers can make on-line selections, view real-time building schedules and direct warranty request schedules, the selections studio with professional assistance, an in-house mortgage company and a thorough customer orientation program.
