Former US Treasury Secretary, Barrington Native Shares Career Advice at U of C

Henry Paulson told University of Chicago MBA students how he chose to work for Goldman Sachs.

 

Former U.S. Treasury Secretary and former Goldman Sachs CEO Henry Paulson offered some career advice recently to University of Chicago MBA students, according to the Chicago Tribune. 

Paulson chatted with students, giving them insight into how he went from Harvard University to Goldman Sachs to the White House.  Paulson told students he hadn’t planned to become the CEO of a major corporation, according to the Tribune.

Paulson grew up in Barrington Hills, according to Chicago Magazine.com. He served as the 74th US Treasury Secretary, in office from July 3, 2006 to January 20, 2009. 

Paulson is a senior fellow at the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy.
