New Women's Boutique to Open in The Foundry

Dish, owned by Megan Disharoon, will open in mid-October.

A new upscale boutique with a focus on personal shopping is coming to The Foundry shopping center on the corner of Hart Road and Northwest Highway.

“Dish” will be opening its doors in the former location of Satin Filly in the coming weeks. Owner Megan Disharoon of Wauconda says she hopes to offer Barrington area shoppers something not easily found in this area.

“The concept is that my mom could take me shopping and we could both find a great outfit and a pair of shoes and jewelry to match,” she said. “It’s style for all ages.”

Disharoon, a mother of three, decided to act on her dream of owning a boutique by taking the plunge and creating “Dish.”

“It took a while to nail down the concept, but we finally just did it,” she said.

Dish will be a fun and inviting atmosphere where all shoppers will feel welcomed. Disharoon said her store will be offering something most boutiques do not: personal shopping.

“We’re by appointment only on Sundays and Mondays and encourage people to use that as a real personal shopping experience. It’s a free service. It would be great for a businesswoman, a mother and daughter, a group of girls, and we could even do private parties on those days,” she said.

Dish is an upscale store offering high-end brand names like Joseph Ribcoff and Frank Lyman, which can be difficult to find in this area.

“We know there’s a lot of women in Barrington that feel they have nowhere to shop for great clothes and we’re hoping to fill that void,” Disharoon said.
