“We are honored to be the beneficiary of this special event at Wild Onion Brewing Company,” said Lauren Evans, marketing and outreach specialist for Whole Planet Foundation. “Microcredit is transformative way to alleviate poverty by empowering entrepreneurs to change their own lives using their own creativity and energy, and the funds we raise from this event will help us fund even more opportunity around the globe.”

"The Wild Onion Brewing Company is proud to partner with Whole Foods and its foundation to help raise funds for microloans to aspiring entrepeneurs" says Mike Kainz, Wild Onion's founder and President. "As a family owned and operated brewery, we fully appreciate the importance of being given that first chance in business through the lending process. The path to controlling one's own economic destiny starts with finding someone who believes in you, and the Whole Planet Foundation is at the forefront of providing that first chance to someone with a great idea but limited access to start-up capital."
