Barrington Bank & Trust Announces Winners of their Community Scholarship Program

The cost of tuition these days is skyrocketing and Barrington Bank & Trust is doing its part to help! The bank recently awarded seven $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors of local area high schools who will attend a college or university in the fall. This year’s recipients were Ashley Villagomez (Barrington High School), Allison Oakes, (William Fremd High School), Samia Quadri (Hoffman Estates High School), Priya Patel (Lake Park High School), Austin Silver (Palatine High School), Rabia Ilyas (Schaumburg High School), and Melissa Chavez (Streamwood High School). The criteria for the scholarships included academic achievements, financial need, character, and contributions to their schools and community.

“It was a pleasure to award these students with the bank’s inaugural scholarships,” said Brad Stetson, Chairman & CEO, Barrington Bank & Trust. “They are an outstanding group of individuals who are destined to achieve success and we are delighted to be able to support them in their future academic endeavors.”

The Barrington Bank & Trust Scholarship Committee was responsible for the selection of winners and scholarship checks were presented to each recipient.
