GO BEYOND BARRINGTON - Supports Joplin High School!

Go Beyond Barrington is an organization started by several Barrington Troop 21 Boy Scouts and supported by members of Barrington High School Colts leadership team.  Their mission is to help students in need in other areas of the country.

Their upcoming FUNdraiser is set to accomplish just that! 

They are putting their focus on helping the students of Joplin High School in Joplin, Missouri who are currently holding classes in an empty shopping mall because their school was virtually wiped out during last May's tornado.

Go Beyond Barrington is presenting GO BEYOND WEEK, October 1 - 7 to help the Joplin High School's Industrial Technology Department which is currently unfunded in the reconstruction efforts.  This program teaches students unique skills to prepare them for the 21st century job market.

Their goal has been set to raise a minimum of $15, 000 to help their fellow students.

Here is how they plan on doing it:

GO BEYOND CARNIVAL - Saturday, October 1, 6:00 - 9:30 PM                     

• WHERE:  Front of Barrington High School- 616 Main Street, Barrington, IL.
• COST:  It's FREE to get in!  Just bring some money for your favorite carnival activities.
• WHAT'S GONNA BE THERE:  Join us for a night of games, food, and music.  Get hooked in to the Eruobungy for a thrill, play games of giant Twister, or just hang out and listen to the DJ. 

JAMMIN' FOR JOPLIN - Friday, October 7, 7:00 - 9:00 PM

• WHERE:  Barrington High School Auditorium- 616 Main Street, Barrington, IL
• COST:  Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door.  Buy advance tickets NOW at the BHS cafeteria.
• WHAT'S GONNA BE THERE:  Barrington's finest performers and entertainers will be ending our week on a high note!  Featuring:  Flounder Gus, Pat McKillen class of 2006, White Shadow, Kid Slim, and BHS choral groups.
