Bringing France to Chicago

La Fournette opens in Chicago for some authentic French flavors!

Christina Currie Events had the pleasure of visiting Chef Pierre at La Fournette on a trip to Old Town last week. It's safe to say that our team was not only surprised by this hidden French gem, but we couldn't have had a lovelier time with Chef Pierre and his wife!

After sampling some delicious croissants, the CCE team was able to find out a bit about the history of La Fournette, a recent addition to the Chicago community. Both from France, Chef Pierre and his wife decided to begin an authentic French bakery to the Midwest, and choose Chicago as the lucky recipient! After opening their doors earlier this year, they were quickly featured on ABC where their delicious breads, bakery goods, and desserts were featured (completely mouth-watering!).

Chef Pierre was even nice enough to provide our team a heaping bag filled with all sorts of goodies to try and recommend to our friends and business associates! We could not have been more surprised or excited to begin the challenge and enjoyed the treats over the Thanksgiving weekend.  Not only does La Fournette have a wide range of foods to purchase on-site, but you can also order gift baskets for the holidays! Producing traditional French holiday goods, freshly made spreads, and an assortment of other local products, La Fournette puts thought and care into each of their wonderful baskets! Our current favorite is the "Breakfast Selection" box, lovingly wrapped in a ribbon, consisting of choice jams, coffees and teas... YUM!

Stop on by their location in Old Town at 1547 N. Wells Street or call 312.624.9430. We promise you that you will leave with your arms full of tasty treats! Cheers!
