Feed My Starving Children - How You Can Help!

Christina Currie Events and friends visited FMSC in Schaumburg, IL to volunteer to package meals for this Christian organization.

With the holidays approaching, the Christina Currie Events team, along with some other friends in the industry, visited Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg, IL in an effort to reach some of the most impovershed nations of the world. A non-profit Christian-based organization allows volunteers to hand-pack meals that are directly shipped to nations around the world. During our visit a few weeks ago, we were able to feed over 40 children for a year in Nicaragua.

At 8:00pm on a Wednesday night, we joined about 100 volunteers in a fun-filled race to see which group could pack the most meals in our hour and a half session! The night began with a video about the organization, detailing the inspiration for creating FMSC as well as giving you a glimpse at some of the children affected by the efforts of Americans in the past decade. The end of the night allowed volunteers to taste the surprisingly good meal (tastes like an instant rice side dish you may have with dinner!).

It was such a fabulous night! We're so thankful for all of our friends and collegues that joined us in an effort to help those in need. It was truly a fantastic experience, and we can't wait to do it again in the months to come.
