Plan a Wedding in Three Weeks? No Problem!

Christina Currie Events, Inc. was recently contacted by a bride to plan her wedding with less than three weeks notice! Having to push the wedding date up over a year, the anxious bride asked Christina if her event planning company could make it happen. Christina accepted the request and created her bride’s dream wedding that took place on July 1, 2012 in North Barrington, IL!

The bride and groom wanted a small wedding ceremony and reception in their backyard. With record heat to compete with, the biggest concern was making sure that an air-conditioned tent was available and that hydration stayed in the forefront of each person’s mind. After contacting two of her biggest rental companies, Christina Currie Events was able to procure all necessary rental items, a clergyman, caterer and florist who dropped everything to make sure the wedding was a success.

Not only were the big details taken care of, but Christina and her team were able to add fun touches to assure that the guests were well taken care of. A basket of chilled cucumber-water infused towels was available for everyone following the outdoor ceremony. Per the bride’s request, an old-fashioned ice cream truck arrived towards the end of the evening to provide guests with a little treat! Guests were asked to walk up to the truck, parked in the street, just like when they were kids.

It was a race to the finish! Our bride wanted us to plan an outdoor wedding at her home in less than three weeks! Due to our long term relationships with our vendors we made it happen in record time. Without good relationships an event like this would not have gotten off the ground as quickly as it did!
